Parowan High School alumni announce May 29 homecoming celebration during Memorial Day weekend. Activities include a rabbit hunt with prizes, open house at Old Rock Church, a 2:30 program at the school, barbecue at Five Mile camp, and a public dance in the new gym. Funds raised via a radio phonograph raffle and an earlier May 15 dance. Invitations sent widely to alumni.

Parowan Blood Drive Hits Quota In Red Cross Campaign
Parowan residents answered the National Red Cross call and donated 106 pints of blood Monday. The blood mobile visited for a second time in five months, operating from 3 to 8 p.m. Local chairman Eugene Orton was praised for organizing and executing the drive, with volunteers, nurses, and local relief societies assisting.

Two Local Girls Join BYU A Cappella Spring Tour
Mary Jane Marsden and Mary Joan Bayles of Parowan join the Brigham Young University A Cappella Choir for a spring tour. The 60 member group opens in Ely Nevada on April 30 and ends May 9 in Los Angeles with Bay Area shows including San Francisco. Directed by Newell B Weight the choir will also appear on a national radio hook-up this spring. Marsden leads BYU activities at Lambda Delta Sigma and Upsilon chapter, while Bayles serves as secretary of the A Cappella Choir and the German Club.

Death Claims On Life Of Marion Nephi Robb
Marion N Robb 64 died Tuesday in Iron Co Hospital after several days critical illness. Born Paragonah May 6 1889 to Samuel and Amanda Robb he married Clara Topham in St George Temple 1912. They farmed and did carpentry and sheep shearer work then moved to Cedar City 1946 to caretake a school before returning to Paragonah 1.5 years ago. Survived by widow three sons Harold M Jesse both of Paragonah.

Birch is a son of Mrs. Ella Felsted and left for Fort Douglas after attending Parowan High School and Dixie College.
