Yankee Meadow Reservoir Near Top of Dam Level

Water in the new Yankee Meadow storage reservoir nearly reaches the dam crest as of days ago with eight feet to spare. John W. Bentley reports rapid rise expected as snowmelt and runoff continue. The dam was built by the fields who may sell a one fourth interest to the city to align water rights. A committee will present recommendations to the city council soon.

East Ward Gleaners Entertain Mothers Tonight

East Ward Gleaners hosted a Mothers Day event at multiple homes on April 27 with a progressive supper and performances. Highlights included a chorus, readings by Luella Dalton and Marian Gudmundsen, and musical numbers by Mrs. Dalton and Mrs. Rowles. Officers were elected at Irene Mitchell’s after the event, with Minnie Orton as president and Alya Adams as executive chair.

County urged to match forest funds for Breaks Road
