He was born in Parowan, son of George F. and Ellen Dale Page Taylor, a Parowan High School graduate, and longtime County Clerk aide. Survived by widow, two daughters, four sisters, two grandchildren. Impressive funeral services were held Thursday at the Paragonah Ward Chapel for Aneeta McBride who died April 23 after an accidental shooting at her home. Mrs Emma Frandson of Henderson Nevada died suddenly last Monday in a Las Vegas hospital during surgery. Her sister Gwen Jones traveled from Paragonah to be with her. Dixie Forest Transfers Idaho Ranger to Dixie Timber Post
Mark M. Johannesen, currently Ranger on Hughes Creek District Salmon National Forest, will transfer to the Dixie National Forest Supervisor’s Office to fill the timber staff position left vacant by the death of R. Boyd Leonard. The transfer takes effect May 20, reflecting Johannesen’s extensive Idaho and regional forestry experience and leadership in timber survey and planning. He studied at Utah State Agricultural College and the University of Idaho, served in the Army in 1943, and has held multiple roles in Payette and Western Idaho timber projects. Supervisor Albertson notes Dixie Region 4 will gain a highly qualified official ready to manage heavy timber responsibilities.
