Oil best 10 be tested near Parowan Gap

Will Dobson reports on the Conqueror Oil Corporation plan to drill near Parowan Gap in Utah. The project targets oil beneath the formation, coal seams, and water potential, with a six to eight inch bore for water and a twelve inch bore for the water table, aiming to finish within a year and to test coal, oil, and irrigation water prospects in the Parowan Valley.

Parowan Stake Quarterly Conference Held March 26 27

The Parowan Stake Quarterly Conference will be held in Parowan on Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27. Apostle Stephen L Richards will attend to address the saints. Preparations aim to gather members from across the stake with hopes no excuses hinder attendance, under the stake presidency of Henry W. Lunt, Myron D. Higbee, and Frank A. Thorley.

F A N Club Hosts St Patrick Day Program

The F A N Club met Saturday with Mrs J H Gurr and Mrs H C Parcells in charge. They shared Irish jokes origin of St Patrick day life of the saint and folklore poems songs and an Irish luncheon. Next meeting with Mrs P A Clark to feature an Easter program.

Relief Society Day in Parowan Ends with Dance and Bazaar

The Relief Society of Parowan hosted its annual program on March 7 with an afternoon dinner and an evening dance. Music, speeches, and toasts accompanied a festive bazaar, drawing strong attendance and praise for the sisters' hard work and successful celebration.

The Parowan Times will be printed from the Parowan Times Pub and Prog Co starting April 1 after the board leased the plant to W Warner Mitchell. The Record office printed the last three issues amid subscriber dissatisfaction and other local notes on Denton Row, health, and community events.

Infant Lang dies after 24 hours in Buckhorn

The infant son of Mr and Mrs Parley Lang died after living 24 hours. The child was taken to Beaver for burial. The bereaved parents receive community sympathy. Mr Parley Lang is in Paragould today on business. Mr and Mrs Cole are currently on their farm. Mr Willis Keith is in Fillmore at present.

Parowan City to Impound Stray Livestock

Parowan Utah March 16 1921 notice commands City Marshal to impound all animals found running at large. A 50 cent per head fee applies to horses mules and cattle while calves sheep and swine incur 25 cents per head. Mayor J Clayton Mitchell signs for the City Council.

S. A. Halterman has secured a permit to run a passenger line from Parowan to the Mammoth and Breaks on Parowan mountains this summer. He can make two trips daily carrying five passengers each trip and can add six cars and drivers if needed. The venture is viewed as a promising, profitable business.

Cedar City cleanup drive targets 50 dirtiest yards

Farm Bureau and Board of Health launch a Cedar City cleanup campaign. A committee will inspect yards and outbuildings, publishing a monthly list of the fifty least sanitary homes and results. Final inspection deadline is April 7, with enforcement on and after.
