Utah automobile owners without 1933 plates gain a sixty day moratorium after the state legislature passed and the governor signed the bill. Secretary of State Milton Wellsing urged the extension, hoping for about fifteen days, noting fewer than half of state motor vehicles had new licenses by February end.
Funeral services were held in Paragonah for George Alvin Williamson 56 died at home from dropsy and lung trouble. The service featured a Paragonah ward choir and several speakers with prayers and hymns. Survived by widow Anna Riding Williamson two sons Alfred and William two daughters Loreta and Mae his 86 year old mother and many siblings from nearby towns.
A family expresses deep gratitude to neighbors friends and Dr Prest wich Cedar Parowan Panguitch and other communities for support during illness and burial of their baby. They name Mr and Mrs Cheater Studbs L D LaFevre Luke LeFevre and family and Mr and Mrs George B E Chilton among those who offered help and attended the funeral.

The Daughters of the Proverts hold their regular March meeting next Wednesday at 3 pm on the Tiellef root. The program honors Ares Aetta Rasmussen, the community’s lone surviving decorated veteran. The Mortensen family organizes the event to mark Rasmussen's mother’s 125th birthday. All are invited.
Officials of the Southern Utah Dairy company visited Weaver Elsinore Monroe and Richfield to study other plants. They concluded their plant needs a pasteurizing machine and did not specify installation timing. Visitors included John H Pendleton John W Bentley Samuel Abbott Thomas Bennett and Byron Adams. The local cheese factory added a new vat to handle rising milk supply as ground milk reaches about 7 070 pounds daily.
Lafayette Junior McConnell 38 a Cedar City native living in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City died at his parents door from self inflicted gunshot wounds after visiting to say goodbye. He had a long history with the law and his family learned of his presence shortly before the tragedy. Funeral service held Thursday at First War Memorial Hall with Scott M Matteson speaker. The notice also lists a cabinet reshuffle in progress with John Nance Garner as vice president and Cordell Hull among new appointments. Thomas Walsh named attorney general but death leaves the position temporarily filled.

The Las Vegas Age reports Misa Jean Thornton, 20, and Wim. A. Wightman, 22, were married by Bishop Bryan L. Bunker on February 23 at 4 pm in Las Vegas. Thornton is from Parowan Utah, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jm A Thornton. The couple will reside at the Rahhey Apartment and begin life together with good wishes from friends.
Branen Agricultural College winter quarter honor roll lists Paul Adams Pearl Bentley Ruth Clark Claudia Joseph Clorrie Pendleton Mariam Fendleton and Emma Bastian with no grade lower than a B. Mr and Mrs L Nelson Marsden drove to Salt Lake City for business returning today.
Blaine Tenson substitute center of the Aggies leads the division in scoring despite limited playing time. He appeared in eight league games mainly as a reserve, averaging under half a game but totaling 33 field goals and 4 foul shots for 70 points. Dixie Church Worthworth ranks second with 47 points, having played nearly full games. Benson from Farowan High last year is noted as a top prior scorer now continuing strong play.

One of Mt and Mrs Chester Stubbs twins Bobble nine months died after illness and operation at the county hospital. Funeral held Sunday at West Ward chapel with Bishop H L Adams presiding. Survived by twin sister Batty and brothers Howard Omer and Clarence.
