Rodger Dailey, three, wandered from the family car while on a Sunday outing near Williamson's Ranch in Paragonah. While his brother Larry rested in the back seat, the child called out and disappeared into the timber. Lawrence Dailey summoned help as searchers scoured the Will iamson's Hill area, and the boy was located safe after hours of wandering.

Young Farmers of the area will tour Parowan Valley this Saturday to inspect new farming practices and rare plants, guided by group advisor Thales Brown. Members should meet at the school ag room at 4 p.m. for the tour of fields including tall wheatgrass, pasture mixtures, Gem and Bonneville barleys, and other items of interest. A Canyon party for all Young Farmers and partners is planned for Wednesday evening, per officers.

Last Rites For Anthony Paxton Held In Kanosh
Anthony Paxton a longtime Kanosh resident died at Salt Lake convalescent home at age 55. Funeral services were held at the Kanosh LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Collins presiding. Born in Parowan September 1863 he married Catherine George in 188? later solemnized in the temple. He later wed Ida M. Orton and outlived both wives. Paxton served as I D & Missionary to the Western States 1901-1904. A farmer and construction foreman, he lived in Millard and Parowan, where the Paxton Hotel operated. Surviving include two sons Uriel and Stanley, two daughters Edna Smith and Josie Hutchings, 15 grandchildren and 26 event grandchildren, and several in-law relations. Funeral guests from Porowan noted with local attendees.

Scott Milne Matheson Jr., son of U S District Attorney Scott M Matheson and Adele Adams of Parowan, Utah, earned a LL B at Stanford University alongside 2410 graduates. He is a Utah native who often spent summers with relatives in the area. His father attended to business in Washington DC while his mother was present at the ceremony. He plans to take the state bar examination after graduation.

Mrs Emma Lowder Webb, Parowan's oldest resident born 1863 in Salt Lake City, is to be honored at a Sunday open house after 3:20 p.m. at her Chanell Apartments home. The 9th birthday celebration follows Monday. Webb, who remains active and attends church, has lived in Cedar City Delta and other places with her husband Abraham Webb who died in 1920. She has five sons and one daughter, now two sons living Edwin of Cedar City and Alma of Eugene Oregon, plus 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
