District Court Opens Term With Sparse Trials
The June term of the District Court for this County opened with Judge Burton presiding. Many cases to be continued but several were set for trial or dismissal. Jurors were delayed to Thursday and a collision suit, Aron Workman vs Thomas Pryor, resulted in a plaintiff loss. Several criminal cases were dismissed. Warrants ordered for Dan Dayin and J. C. Rambouillet Sheep Sale Plans Headed to Texas
Wilford Davig is leaving soon for Texas with 150 Rambouillet sheep including ewes and rams for a sale around July 19. A second shipment may follow about July 24, with Davig driving through and staying in Texas until after the second sale. He plans to exhibit at the Rambouillet Show and the National Ram Gate in Salt Lake City. Details on other breeders attending Texas sales are not yet known.

Another Prisoner Breaks Jail
J. C. Jones escaped from the jail between eight and nine o'clock by removing the door glass. He faced grand larceny charges for stealing a watch, chain, and a diamond ring from Lawrence Bracken. A Cedar City woman, Miss Ahlstrom, purportedly drove him to the railroad in a jitney after the escape.
