Water regulation violators go free after hours case
Three persons J C Mitchell Evelyn Lawder Nellie B Green and John T Mitchell and a fourth for sprinkling without a ticket were freed by Justice Bayles after testimonies from Joseph Benson special police. Benson testified he found sprinkling after hours and confronted each violator. The justice ruled all guilty of ordinance violation but discharged them, vowing not to bring similar cases in that court again while he presides.

The general committee has formed teams for the nationwide move to mark Pioneer spots. City divisions and canvassing plans prepare the sale of a Memorial Coin priced at one dollar gaining ticket to a dinner and program on August 5. Dinner chairwomen are Mrs. Sarah Cornell Mrs. Grace Gurr Mrs. Melinda Adams and Mrs. Anthony Paxton. The program chiefs are Biss Eva Adams Nelson Maraden and Wm. M. Dalton. Children will be admitted to the dinner and program.

Prabdh Agricultural College Sets Fall Start September Eighth
Director Oberhansley announces Prabdh Agricultural College will open the Fall quarter on September eighth, with other county schools likely starting the same date. A presemester institute is planned the Saturday prior, and faculty will visit settlements to recruit students. A daily Parowan bus may run for local attendance and dormitories or cottages will be available despite last spring’s dorm fire. Football games are being scheduled for the fall quarter. Arthur J. Morris’s transfer creates a vacancy. several applicants are considered.

May Drill Test Well in Parowan Canyon
City officials and field owners consider R L Halterman proposal to drill a test well above the power plant in Parowan Canyon. He pledges to use owl casing and drill cheaply to prove water presence, with estimates from 75 to 159 dollars. Auto Accident Kills High School Teacher
Parowan residents learned with regret that Miss Lilian Jensen of Menden Utah, a high school teacher for two years, was killed in an automobile accident in Southern Idaho earlier this week. Her mother survived the crash, and the two were traveling with a brother when the car rolled over. Jensen was highly regarded at school and many friends were shocked by the news. Messages of condolence were sent by the Parent Teachers Association, student body, and faculty.
