Werd was received by W Clair Rowley’s committee from J R Stringham of Holden and will be here for the rest of the week or Monday to install cheese factory equipment. Additional materials are being ordered and milk cans will be purchased after arrival. patrons will receive guidance on milk care before delivery. The committee favors a not for profit company to distribute earnings among producers by milk supply.
The B. B. Club of this City will join the Utah Federation of Women's Clubs pending entrance requirements. Final decision was made at last Thursday's meeting at Mrs. Phoebe Taylor's. A publicity committee of Nellie St. Bentley and Arvilla Marsden was named, with Josephine Parasiore and Phoebe Taylor to pursue federation. The next meeting is slated for Lola Dalton's Thursday evening. The F A M Club has already joined the State Federation.
Misa Ada Lyman enjoyed a birthday surprise from six couples of friends during the first week, featuring games and a dainty lunch as the highlight of the party.

Emma Cornell Benson 41, wife of James Alma Benson, passed Saturday after nine years of kidney trouble. Survived by husband, three children Alma Lotua and Sherwin, four brothers, four sisters, and extended family. Funeral Tuesday featured speakers Walter C. Mitchell Joseph E Ward and Mary Marsden.
The annual Fathers and Sons outing is fixed for August 12 13 and 14 at Navajo Lake with an expected strong program for both fathers and sons. Stake ML I A officers sponsor this event aiming to make it a genuine Stake outing and urge planning with sons now. Further program details will appear in future Times issues.

Samuel A. and Robert L. Halterman near the valley core have near completion on the largest well on their tract. They expect about 10.9 million gallons per minute from the first hundred feet of pipe, with a twelve inch diameter. A pump will be added for efficiency. Clearing and breaking 90 acres proceeds, with cultivation planned in sixty days and some fall wheat to be planted.
Within the week civil suits have been filed in the District Court of this county. Joseph Li Paden sues Mary Hanover and others. Lavon Hill sues Ben Hill for divorce. George B. Hancock sues Mahala H. Hancock for divorce.
Mrs Jos Dalton of Parowan Utah states July 16th morning she was with her husband at their homestead and denies a malicious rumor accusing him of an affair. The notice is dated July 26 1926.
Mrs Maude Richards traveled from Logan to visit her ailing mother for several months. Mrs Ella Iaswussen Slaughter and her son Lincoln arrived from Bakersfield California to spend a few days with relatives here.
Miss Anna T Adams returns from Salt Lake City to enjoy part of her vacation after a Yellowstone Park visit with Eva. Norma Dwight visits from Salt Lake City with relatives and friends. S J Whitney promotes his business with a painted sign. Claude and Mrs Dalton welcome a baby boy. Clair Lowder and Delbert Smith visit from California and Panguitch. Deci to haul lumber for Orton Ward. Ur Slyatt Jr and his father from Sandy consult Salt Lake City doctors. Sherif J T Leigh and Nizhi Watchman Nat Gardner travel from Cedar City for a local event.
The marriage license was issued to Ruth Parker and Mark R. Howcroft of Salt Lake City. They were married by Bishop Marsden on the 12th and have moved to Salt Lake City to make their home.
Mr and Mrs Joseph Mickleson hosted over a hundred relatives and friends for an evening in honor of their sons Edward Mickleson and Douglas Miller visiting from out of town. DT A Matheson and Mrs Clarence Richards led as master and mistress of ceremonies with musical numbers. Refreshments followed at an appropriate hour and the event was well received.
A'r and Mrs Oris May of Long Beach California are visiting here for a few days with May's parents Mr and Mrs C Mortensen.
Mrs Kathleen Mitchell Roche will visit her family this week. She now lives in Phoenix Arizona while her husband, transferred from El Paso Texas, runs a branch office of his company.
Mr. Gelden Paramore is erecting a car shed adjoining his home on First North street between First and Second East, as shown in local construction notices.
Bir and Mrs 3 W Trouston visit with Mrs Houston's family, staying a few days.

Mr John S Grown arrives from Los Angeles for his mother’s serious health condition. He expects his wife, visiting relatives in Kansas for a month, to join him this week. Continued to page four.
The Cedar Greaka Hotel formerly Bryan Jlead Inn on the Breaks north side opened last week for the tourist season under Mrs. C. I. Sleap. It offers rooms or cabins, meals, a small groceries stock, gas, oil for autos, and plans dances midweek with possible Thursday encore if crowds justify it.
Arch Perry pleaded guilty in Justice Leighs court and paid a fine of 3250 after City Marshal Gran Walker watched a transfer of a package from Perrys car and a five dollar bill pass. Vincent Mulliner faces a hearing this week after a raid found quantity of unstated items.
Stake President W. R. Palmer and first counselor T. J. Jones, along with stake Clerk Clarence Riddle, were among attendees on Saturday night for a stake priesthood gathering in the district.

City Council approved a four mill increase to the tax levy this year, raising the rate from 20 to 21 mills to fund improvements and repairs. The council also passed an ordinance requiring licenses for numerous businesses and individuals, including Fisher & Printer, to boost city revenue and regulate commerce.
A cashier who had his tonsils removed on Saturday faces a slow recovery and limited ability to talk. He is improving and on track to return to normal, aside from removing troublesome customers.
Mr. Clayton Taylor returns to town after assisting with Albert Adams' flocks in Last Chance country Cedar Canyon. They raised 522 lambs from 532 ewes, a result cited as around 92 percent and very good for open range lambing.
Officers of the Parowan Reservoir Company have ordered materials valued at $10,000 for pipes and a gate. Plans for the Ten Thousand Dollar Dam to form Yankee Meadow Reservoir have state approval with minor changes. The company, largely composed of local field owners, intends to begin immediately aiming for completion this fall.
The East Ward Choir ladies presented a splendid Sunday concert in the Tabernacle to raise funds for Ward maintenance. Attendees enjoyed the event despite lower than expected turnout, with much effort evident in the performance.
Mr Brandt Dallen has been at the Citizens Military Training Camp Fort D A Russell Wyoming for five weeks and Mr Aldon Burt will work in South America for Armour Swift Packing Co earning 150 dollars monthly with expenses paid. Vivian Parker attended Fort Douglas camp but missed a Wyoming trip due to a lost railway ticket in Salt Lake City.
Both West and East Ward gatherings Sunday afternoon featured talks by Elders Scott Day George Stevens and Miss Anna Adams in the West Ward. A musical quartet by Wm Morris Paul Adams and Taylor Miller was well received. In the East Ward speakers included Mrs Lizzie Dalton Meeks Rex C Ward and Marion Adams.

Alexander Matheson escaped injury after his Ford Coupe collided with a horse near Summit. The animal was killed and the crash damaged the radiator and lights, but Matheson walked away unharmed.
Justice Morris dismissed cases against Harold Rowley Arch Gilger and Aldon Burt and suspended sentence in the Ron ald Mortensen case. The rulings follow the boys firing caps at others, with the judge noting repeated offense and lack of preventive effort. One boy had already been tried and saw a suspended sentence.
