Joyce Marie Robinson aged two died Sunday at the family home from pneumonia after a cold. Funeral services were held Tuesday at West Ward chapel with Bishop If J Adams presiding. Lee Kay of the State Fish and Game Department spoke to high school students about wildlife and urged protection of state resources.

Elderly Folks Celebrate in Parowan and Paragonah
Elderly residents over sixty five gathered Tuesday afternoon in the Relief rooms of the Recreation hall for an honor event and banquet. Parowan City Settles With Pipe Company
Parowan City paid Hardesty Company $1,000 to settle a long dispute over pipe purchases from Burnham Manufacturing Co. The contract had included a $1,000 yearly rental. Earlier, city records showed $1,600 owed on pipes costing under $2,000 with misapplied payments as rental. The city moved to end the rental clause and the parties agreed to apply 1932 payments to principal and accept $1,000 in full settlement.

Iron County Washington County and Beaver County form a mutual aid society to provide non compulsory life protection for members. Cattle Permits Rise As Sheep Drop On Dixie Forest
Supervising official Jas K E Gurry reports last year 11 721 cattle and horses authorized with 9 676 actually grazed on Dixie National Forest. This year 12 257 head permitted as transfers from sheep occur. Sheep permits drop from 74 750 to 71 550 authorized. 66 121 sheep grazed last year. 13 610 sheep to lamb on the forest. Rangers note 30 percent more forage produced due to moisture, improving livestock condition and lambs eight to twelve pounds heavier. Cedar City forms Taxpayers League to advocate sales tax
Citizens in Cedar City met on Monday evening to organize a Taxpayers League. Officers named include M. Foster as chairman John Corry as vice chairman Maeser Dalley as secretary and treasurer. The group backed a sales tax to ease property tax and opposed mortgages obtaining deficiency judgments under foreclosures. Albert M. Marsden of Nevarowan assisted with the organization.
