Celebration at Relief Hall Monday afternoon includes songs prayers talks and a life sketch plus a birthday cake and refreshments for attendees. An evening dance for those over sixteen features Perry's orchestra and old-time music.

Rambouillet breeders set show and sale on same dates
At a Southern Utah Rambouillet Breeders Association meeting held last week the group decided to hold the annual show and sale about the same dates as last year around Sept 8 and 9 with a sale linked to the show favored by a large majority. Rules and regulations for both events were discussed as the main purpose of the gathering which was well attended. The exact dates may shift slightly from last year but the show is expected to occur near the same period.

Hunters Set for Mt Pleasant Rabbit Championship

Funeral held for Sarah A Matheson in Parowan
A large crowd attended the Thursday funeral for Sarah R Matheson born April 20 1848 in Dundee Scotland. She immigrated to Utah in 1881 living in Parowan where she served as post mistress and Red Cross knitting chairwoman during WWI while supporting her husband David Matheson and ten children.
