Taxpayers Hold Big Convention in Cedar City

A large gathering of Iron County taxpayers met Saturday afternoon in Cedar City under the Utah Taxpayers Association. Ex mayor Wil H. Leigh chaired, with committees named for membership resolutions and nominations. Speaker Manson of Ogden outlined the goal to reduce government costs through economy and efficiency, while noting equalization of taxes is beyond the current scope.

Pendleton’s Record Lamb Crop Reaches 72 from 47 Ewes

Last Friday the F A N club members surprised Mrs John H Gurr at her home to celebrate her birthday. After an afternoon visit supper prepared by Mrs Gurr for her family was shared, and the club members joined for a single large supper. The group wished her many more birthdays as they departed.
