Parowan Livestock Association Elects Same Directors
The Parowan Livestock Association renewed the terms of directors Albert Adams Joseph Mickelson and Thomas Fowler and secretary treasurer Ray Morris at its annual meeting. Officers George Rasmussen president John H Pendleton vice president and Robert Fowler Geo I Morris also retained. The group discussed building drift fences on summer range with a 50 50 cost split between the association and the Forest Service. A committee Pendleton Morris and Fowler was named to survey the range with the forest ranger next spring. Ranger Seaman attended and offered suggestions.

Water main trouble hits Canyon travel route
Canyon travel disruptions caused water pipes to leak after a wood haul road break and root intrusion. Dirt and mud fouled the supply from the storage tank, repairs restored some flow but repeated breaks kept muddy water. City officials closed the road along the pipe line Tuesday night to prevent further trouble.

Decision Opens Way For City Improvments
Parowan and other Utah cities may issue revenue bonds to fund municipal utility repairs after the state supreme court ruled the Granger Act constitutional. Parowan plans to file its application soon, pending state engineer and federal approval, with possible elections to authorize bond issuance. Funds would cover water system upgrades, reservoir construction, hydrants, meters, and pipe replacement, with petitions to Washington for approval.

Farewell Party Held for Primary Wgrker Misa Bentley
East Ward primary officers hosted a farewell social Monday for Misa Effie Bentley who resigns after years as secretary of the association. The event at Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bentley's home drew current and former officers and teachers. Refreshments followed reminiscences as Miles Bentley plans to visit relatives in central Utah. Mrs Antice Slatterman was chosen to fill Miss Bentley's position in the primary.

Adams Gives Literary Lesson at Paroway Club

Race track begins to assume definite shape
After a weekend of work the east town face track and athletic field take form. A big grader supplied by local firms graded and filled the area for three days and more sand will be added to firm the surface before fall to prepare for a possible meet.
