Parowan Valley road funding approved by county board
County commissioners agreed to an even thousand dollar appropriation to continue graveling the Parowan Valley loop road with a 50 50 match from local farmers who use the route. Delegation including WaFord Day Rex Ward J B Dalton M Ward Morris Lyman and John W Bentley promised volunteers to work a day for each county day funded. Road supervisor Simkings was asked to plan with Samuel Orton to maximize results. Additional actions included indigent relief for Mrs Rachel Applegate, tax refunds and settlements on Moron A Orton and H B Matheson properties, and a protest over Batty road closure to be revisited next meeting. A Buckburn right of way demand was deemed unsupported. Road improvements for Cedar-Midvalley were authorized if beneficiaries cooperate. Funeral notices for Little True Haycock followed.

Judge Burton announced the appointment of Jury Commissioners Thomas I. Adams and Myron D. Higbee and Inheritance Tax Appraisers John W. Bentley Thomas W. Jones and Lafayette McConnell for the county for the coming year. They must select a list of about 200 voters to draw jurors for next year. Judge-elect Leroy H.
