The newly organized Chamber of Commerce set up standing committees at a meeting this week. E. Ray Lyman heads the finance committee, S. M. Clark chairs membership, D. Watson Adams leads programs, Ivan Decker and Leonard Orton oversee projects, and W. Clair Rowley runs publicity. A membership drive to nearby Paragonah and Summit, similar to Parowan, is planned with a January 10 dinner in the 1st-2nd Ward banquet rooms. The Relief Society serves the banquet. Dr. L. W. Deer Crossings Threaten Roads Around Parowan Summit
Warden 8 M Clark reports deer on the high road near Parowan and Summit, Utah, with one to five fatalities nightly on a seven mile stretch between Parowan and Summit and other incidents north toward Cedar. Death Takes Life Of Former Paragonal Baby
Toni Lee Farnsworth daughter of Gordon G and Carol Davenport Farnsworth died Monday in Salt Lake City after a three week illness. She was said to have tubercular meningitis with brain pressure leading to admission surgery and critical condition. Born in Paragonah and hurt in Cedar City March 20 1951 while her father served in Korea, she spent much of her life with maternal grandparents before the family moved.
