Ram Bouflet Show Barn Under Construction For Rambouillet Show

Work began last week on the Ram bouflet Show Barn to host the annual Rambouillet Sheep Show. The 73 by 103 foot foundation sits on the Joseph P. Dalton block near the main highway, with future expansion planned. The barn will have 10 by 10 and 10 by 15 pens and a large front area for the judging ring, aiming to be one of the best in the Southern End and possibly the biggest Rambouillet show in the United States.

Gleaners Club Meets for First Weekly Session

Gleaners Club held its first weekly meeting on Thursday August 16 at Glenna Marsden’s home. Lucile Parcells led a table etiquette demonstration including setting the table and duties of hosts and staff.

Boosters Edition of Iron County Record Praised

The special edition published last week is praised as a creditable sheet. The editor and team are congratulated for their work. It contained about forty pages of Iron County news and advertising. Mr Rollo noted about 700 dollars worth of advertising. Twenty five hundred copies were printed.

Special Prizes for Fair Exhibits Attract Attention

The article lists prize amounts for various fair exhibit categories including a warden truck display, farm crops, horticulture, dairy animals, dairy production, wheat, irrigated and dry land corn, Rambouillet and Shorthorn entries, sows and litters, and porkers. Red Cross Doings in Iron County This Season

Christmas bags for disabled veterans are being prepared by Pacific Coast division groups, with Parowan citizens urged to contribute through Mrs. Janie Dennett, Christmas Days committee chair.

Parowan Canyon and Rainbow Route Highlight Utah Trip

Court Adjourns As September Term Set In Cedar City

After a full slate, the Cedar City court adjourned to reconvene September 10 with several trials to be heard including jury cases. Desecration of the Flag Statute Cited

A public notice states that anyone who mutilates defaces or disrespects the U S flag or any standard may be charged with a misdemeanor. Punishment includes a fine up to 100 dollars or up to thirty days imprisonment or both as determined by the court.

Halterman Makes Rainbow Route Trip From Parowan

Mr S A Halterman traveled the Rainbow Route from Parowan to Cedar last Sunday with a Byron Jackson Pump Co representative. He reported good roads aside from a muddy stretch near Point Supreme and was surprised by the canyon road’s favorable comparison to Coal Creek Canyon.
