Former Parowan Resident Dies In Nevada
Guy Lee, 45, of McGill Nevada, a former Parowan resident and brother of Mrs. George Mickelson, died Monday night at the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital. He served nine years in the U S Army during World War II and was wounded in India. He worked for Kennecott Copper at McGill and is survived by his wife Tillie Struek, his parents, and many siblings. Funeral services were held Friday in Ely Nevada with burial in the Ely cemetery.

Senior High students register all day under Principal Dalley with room 2 used for Tuesday reporting. Eyre Reunion Draws 375 Attendees in Minersville
In Minersville last weekend the Eyre reunion gathered about 375 people. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Clair Stevens and Mrs Nannie Eyre of Parowan plus Mr and Mrs Mel Eyre and Mr and Mrs Earl Matheson. Also present were Mrs Garnetta Mickelson, Mrs Caroline Green, and Mrs Arvilla Mortensen of Parowan, with extended visits by Walter Stevens of Byron Wyoming and John Stevens and Elmer Eyre of Cowley Wyoming. A Cedar Breaks trip and social at the Clair Stevens home followed by a Sunday gathering with the late Eyre Stevens family were noted, joined by Ervin Riddle of Cedar City.

Leonard Benson formerly of Parowan died in a Lovell Wyoming hospital on Friday August 14 from a heart attack. Born November 24 1888 he lived in Parowan grew up and later moved to Wyoming where he farmed in the Big Horn Basin and helped develop the area. He is survived by his widow four sons four daughters and several siblings with services held in the Cowley LDS Ward and burial in Lovell cemetery.

Funeral services for Lewis M. Lowder 63 of Parowan will be held Monday at 2 am at Ward Libs Chapel. He died after a long illness with health failing in recent years. He was born February 25 1870 in Parowan to John Lowder and Emily Hodgetts Lawder. He married Id Sroith October 19 1898, later solemnized in St George Temple. Purowan residents and Mrs Helen Hope lurker Brock relatives heard a half hour radio program from Connorsville Indiana featuring four Brock children. The family led by Carl and Mrs Brock perform vocal harmony and plan many appearances next year. The son Bob is 16 and three daughters aged 14 seven lead the acts. The youngest carries lead in arrangements and is known as the personality kid in the east. Mrs Brock hails from Parowan and is a Parker.
