Services Held Wednesday For Lucy G Hyatt
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Lucy Albena Gunn Hyatt age 80 who died Sunday at her home. Born Parowan September 4 1865 to George and Ann Gunn she lived in Parowan all her life. She married Herbert Smith Hyatt January 14 1882. he died in 1949. Surviving are ten children and many grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Burial followed at the Parowan cemetery with a large church service and local officials in attendance.

Special Deer Permits Go On Sale August 29 in Utah
Utah Fish and Game will begin selling special deer permits for the 1955 season on August 29. Permits are first come, first served and available by mail or in person at the Deer Permit Sales Office listed in the 1955 proclamation for each of 20 districts. Applicants must be 16 or older, possess a state big game license, and include name, address, unit choice, license number, and payment of 3 dollars for residents or 5 dollars for non residents. Rules limit one special permit per calendar year, but regular two deer area tags may still be purchased as extra. Two deer special permits are set for Antimony and Henry Mountains units, plus Daggett-Clay Basin. Antimony and Henry Mountain require antlerless deer.
