David Sharp announces Parowan on September 16 and Cedar City on September 20 for a countywide school fair. Displays include home economics projects baby contests medical exams, agricultural and handwork exhibits plus sports and entertainment. Schools will close for the day to allow attendance.
The Red Cross asks Mere Work and other women to help stitch underwear for Belman women. Officers urge all available ladies to attend today and tomorrow afternoon, with materials and tools provided for those in need.

Dr Jan Green of this city is appointed examining physician for Iron County by the American Red Cross Mountain Division Denver marked by a formal letter of appointment. The communication notes Green’s high standing and authority to examine applicants for foreign services in the district near his residence.
The Iron County Utah board discusses protests to sheep and cattle tax increases, approves or rejects county fair funding, appoints constables, fixes salaries, and sets the 1918-19 tax levy with varied mill rates for state, county, and city purposes across Iron County and Cedar City.
C L Pindar and a companion left for Salt Lake City last Friday and will stay several days visiting Mr Pindar's parents. J G Gould, in town for a couple of weeks, returned last Friday to Seattle to take a job in government slip yards.
