Bank finishes paying Federal Reserve debt after bank closure
The Bank of Iro County, closed in December 1931, has paid off about 67000 owed to the Federal Reserve Bank with collections and liquidation costs. The remaining claim is about 6000 to the Iran County School District. Californian Dies on Buckhorn Flat
Jacob H. K. Jeffs, 45, of Los Angeles, was found dead late Sunday night under a tree at the old Skinner place on Buckhorn. Heart trouble suspected. death occurred mid afternoon. He drove a Ford coupe with shoes off, pipe on his shoes, no sign of struggle. Baldwin lad from Paragonah saw him earlier and noted he looked ill. Dr. Clark pronounced death. no foul play suspected. Body shipped to Los Angeles. family notified.
