Funeral for Nelson Fenton in Pleasant Grove
Mr and Mrs AL Fenton traveled to Pleasant Grove after the death of Nelson Fenton a or year old resident. Thure Funeral service was held Sunday at 4 pm with burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery. Wards Cannery Opens Next Monday in Parowan Ward
The cannery owned by and for the people of Parowan and East Ward, Paragon Ward, will start operations next Monday evening. Bishop Jess Guymon announces canning for the church welfare assignment and for individuals with vegetables to can, including 93 canning for members. Surplus beans should be contributed, and all three wards will donate produce for the welfare project and fruit and meat canning as announced.

County Board Holds Busy Session Monday
Iron County commissioners convened a busy Monday meeting to resolve budget and service issues. Parowan City will sponsor the race meet with 2000 dollars, while county support focuses on the exhibition.
