Missing in Action: Lt Edgerton Poulsen Over Germany
Lt Edgerton E Poulsen 21 son of Ezra J and Mrs Poulsen of Salt Lake City is listed missing in action over Germany since August 24. He piloted a B 17 Flying Fortress after enlisting in 1942 and overseas three months. He attended South High and the University of Utah. Parents, a brother Lt Theodore S Poulsen in the Navy, two sisters, and another brother remain awaiting word. The Poulsen family has relatives around Paris.

The War Shipping Administration reveals the Forgotten Convoy tale. In January 1943 six U S Merchant ships sailed from New York to deliver supplies to North Russia. They endured air attacks and arrived March 2. After unloading they waited eight months in a Russian factory town before the return convoy sailed back to New York Harbor about a year after departure.

Dingle Youth Dies After Auto Crash
Robert Sparks fifteen year old son of Mrs William Sparks of Dingle died in Montpelier hospital from head and chest injuries after a car rollover near the post office on Sunday at 1 30 am. Six youths were in the truck returning from a dance at Ideal Beach. Dean Sparks and Melvin Kunz were injured along with Lynn Kunz and Clyde Freeman. Funeral services for Robert Sparks were held Wednesday in Dingle.
