Charles Rogers, proprietor of Elite Confectionery, found a night break in during Sunday morning. Entry gained through a back window. Robbers stole candy ice cream and small change from the cash register. Rogers suspects it was boys and is pursuing a clue.
The Bear Lake valley stake held a well attended fall conference with Dr. John A. Widtsoe of Salt Lake City as principal speaker. He spoke on fear and faith linking local trials to larger church progress and recalled earlier pioneers while urging continued gospel adherence. The program, including Sunday School and M I A topics, featured multiple stake leaders and was accompanied by the stake choir.
Blue Ridge a two year old chestnut colt by Friar Rock Blue Grass sold this afternoon by John Madden to John S Ward of Kentucky owner of Wise Counsellor Worth More and others for 35000. Blue Ridge broke from maiden class last Thursday and will start in the Hopeful stakes tomorrow afternoon at Saratoga.
