Charles Wallace Pope 83 longtime Garden City rancher and political leader died Saturday in LDS Hospital Logan after six weeks illness. He served as 1914 Rich County state representative and Garden City mayor, bishop of Garden City Ward, and school board member. Survived by wife Rosetta. eleven children and many grandchildren. Funeral held Wednesday at Garden City Ward Chapel.

Graveside services for Jesse Law who died Oct 7 in Meridian Idaho were held at Paris Cemetery Friday at 1 30 PM conducted by Bishop Clifford G Price. The service included songs and prayers with six of Law’s sons as pallbearers and Conrad Sanders dedicating the grave. Surviving are his widow six sons three daughters four brothers one sister and many relatives who gathered for lunch at the Law home. Card of Thanks from Mrs Jesse Law and family.

Three Men Injured In Timber Accident
Three crewmen of the Iri Nyelo were injured while felling timber in North Canyon. Reed Christensen had minor injuries while Bruce Derricott and Rudolph Blenz suffered serious wounds including a dislocated shoulder skull fracture and broken ribs and a darkened vertebrae. They were taken to Bear Lake Hospital by ambulance and were reported recovering.
