Idaho municipal election day November 7 will feature candidates for Paris Bloomington and Montpelier posts. Paris voters will select two councilmen to replace two incumbents not seeking reelection. Bloomington to elect mayor and two council members with three petitions for council seats. Montpelier chooses three of five candidates for city council with polling at City Hall High School and Shepherd Building Center.

Make It With Wool Contest Sets November 2
Aberdeen organizers invite entrants 10 and up to the Make It With Wool contest at the LIDS State House on November 2. Four district levels guide junior and adult entrants toward a state contest November 18 in Boise and a national finals in Dallas. Sub Debs may enter jumpsuits or skirts with categories including two piece suits coats or dresses. Garments must be 100 percent USA wool and made after January 1 1967 with full fabric content knowledge required.

Former Laketown Matron Dies in Ogden
Elizabeth Ann Weston Satterthwaite 83 of Ogden died last Saturday of natural causes. Born April 21, 1884 in Laketown to George Gifford Weston and Emma Robinson Weston. Survived by son Hubert W. of North Ogden, daughters Georgia Woolley and Rhea Jensen of Salt Lake City, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral held 10:00 am Tuesday. burial Laketown Cemetery.

District school facilities levy approved in 1964
In 1964 patrons of the school district accepted a 3.5 million county property levy to fund plant facilities. Since then, evidence shows the needs it filled in school buses, building improvements and equipment. Continued on page 5.

Emily E Negus 54 died October 2 in a Roy Utah hospital after a long illness. Born June 16 1913 in Garden City to John and Flora Negus she was a North Rich High School graduate and LDS member. Survived by brothers William L Negus and Jessie Cottle sister Beatrice Hansen and another sister Mrs William Payne. Funeral held at Garden City LDS Ward Chapel with burial in Garden City Cemetery. Bear River Rancher Fined for Diverting Water
Bear Lake rancher Marriner Jensen living about 10 miles east of Montpelier was arrested on a Soda Springs complaint by water master Russell Stocker. Jensen pleaded guilty in Montpelier to diverting Bear River water without proper metering and was fined 200 dollars plus 5 dollars court costs and sentenced to 15 days in jail, suspended on payment of the fine. The judge ordered installation of a metering device, subject to inspection on October 12.

Ruth Wilkes Dunn, 58, of Montpelier, died Tuesday at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She married Thomas Merlin Dunn on January 17, 1928 in Soda Springs and was an active LDS member. Survivors include husband, Allen W Dunn, three daughters, 17 grandchildren, her mother, a sister, and a brother. Funeral services Friday at 1:00 pm at the Third-Fifth LDS Ward Chapel. Interment in Montpelier Cemetery.

Hampville Johanna Madcap AT68S02, a 7 year old registered Holstein cow owned by Wayne J Matthews of Ovid, produced 14 840 lb of milk and 536 lb of butterfat in 305 days. University of Idaho supervised the production and testing in cooperation with Holstein Friesian Ass'n of America breed programs.
