Fielding High and regional students attended a November 8 9 music clinic at Bancroft with about 550 students and 22 directors. The event featured mixed and girls choirs directed by Dr. Jay E Welch and Prof. Richard Robison, with Fielding participants Merrill Beck Judy Pugmire and others. The Band, directed by Prof. Jay Slaughter, performed pieces including March Hongroise and Traversinfonie.

Funeral Services Held for Jesse J Lewis
Funeral services were held Saturday for Jesse John Lewis 77 first resident of Paris who died last Wednesday in a Salt Lake City hospital. Born September 20 1886 in Paris he was World War I veteran and longtime butcher. He is survived by his widow three sons a daughter two brothers a sister and nine grandchildren. Interment was in Paris City Cemetery.

Weston Dies in Montpelier Motel Room
Robert H. Weston, 32, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died of smoke inhalation after accidentally asphyxiating while sleeping at the Michelle Motel in Montpelier. Found by the motel manager around 6:00 p.m. after the room’s blankets were burned but no fire. Weston was a veterinarian employed by the Idaho state government.

Driver Sleep Incident Damages Cars in Paris
About 2:00 am Tuesday Eddie Wilcox of Paris, a Cen tial finers employee, fell asleep at the wheel entering Paris from Montpelier. His car crossed Main Street and struck Dale Parker’s parked vehicle, causing damage to both autos and slight injuries to Wilcox. Marshal J Vivian Nye investigated.

Bear Lake County Farm Bureau held its annual banquet at the Georgetown recreation hall with Hulme Dunford as master of ceremonies.
