Hunting Accident Kills Pocatello Man in Idaho
A hunting party in North canyon caused a fatal gun discharge injuring Larry Keeler and killing Dee Smith born 1947 in Montpelier. Bruce Wallace, Canyon County high school principal, also died in a separate hunting incident. Surviving relatives include Beth and Nyle of Pocatello and grandmother Mrs. Ella Hill.

Wallentine Boy Revived After Plunge Into Tank

Idaho residents invested 78486 in U S savings bonds in September marking a 95 percent rise from September 1957 when sales totaled 884658. Bear Lake county sold 4026 for the month versus 1484 a year earlier. Nine month E and H bond sales reached 6478808 compared with 6857962 last year. National cash sales stood at 361984000 with September interest accruals of 92584000. Redemptions of E and H bonds fell 12.6 percent from a year ago.

Preston youth dies of gunshot wounds near Franklin
Ronald G. Byington, 19, of Preston, died in a Salt Lake hospital from gunshot wounds suffered about three weeks earlier while hunting with a companion in the Maple Creek canyon area near Franklin. Robert Neal, 28, of Franklin, was held by the Franklin County sheriff on a charge of assault with intent to kill. Further details are unavailable.

Funeral Services Held for Former Paris Resident Ringel
Graveside rites were held at Paris cemetery for William Ringel born October 25 1896 in Paris son of Ludwig Ringel and Annie Ebling Ringel. A WWI veteran who later served in the U S Navy, he died November 6 in Salt Lake City at the veterans hospital. Former Paris Residents Die in Preston Crash
A head on collision north east of Preston killed Donald Baxter 44 and Hazel Baxter 42 and seriously injured Max Coburn 86, driver of the second car. Firefighters fought flames for over an hour before recovering the bodies. Funeral services were held Tuesday, burial in Preston Cemetery. Coburn in Preston Hospital in satisfactory condition. Four Baxter children left as orphans.
