Officers Elected For Bear Lake County Fair Association

Stockholders met in the Court House and elected officers for the Bear Lake County Fair Association. Directors named were Will N. Young Arthur Badge A M Rich Dr J W Hayward George B Spencer Jr F O Shepherd and Frank Dayton with W R Holmes as secretary. W H Young was chosen president and George B Spencer Jr treasurer. The fair is set for September 26 27 28 and 29 ahead of the October Salt Lake City conference. The new officers seek citizen support and note no salaries. improvements include two wells and better facilities for animals and farm products with a liberal premium list to be released soon.

Chas G Keetch filed on 160 acres and offered final proof March 26 1909 but proof suspended on protest claiming land not Deseret in character and no water right. Testimony Sept 20 1910 before G Spongberg at Montpelier. Keetch represented by J H Anderson and Walter Hoge. Evidence showed government failed to substantiate charges. Ownership of Bear Hollow Springs waters remarked as continued on last page.
