Ten Million Americans to Honor Founders of Their Faith
A May 22 national communion honors John Wesley founder of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The 200th anniversary of Wesley's conversion prompts global observances and a May 24 prayer service. Francis Asbury, the American bishop, is also celebrated for his frontier circuit riding and mission to establish Methodism in the United States.
