Christian Kunz Dies in Utah
Logan Utah. Christian Kunz 85 died at his home 492 East Fourth North Saturday from heart trouble. Born December 28 1848 to John and Rosinga Kunz the family came to this country in 1870 settling in Bern Idaho moving here in 1920 for temple work. Surviving are his widow fifteen sons and daughters including John T Rigby Seth John M N Franklin Arthur Kunz Montpelier Bessie Dredge Malad Earl Harris Ogden Nathan Barlow Alma and Smith A Kunz Sake Lake Miss Zine Kunz Logan. Funeral services set for Monday at 11 am in the Fifth Ward chapel, body to Bern Idaho for burial.

Lukens Blames Prison Policy for Idaho Escape
Idaho Falls May 13 Secretary of State Fred E. Lukens blamed prison trustees for the Lyda Southard escape from the Idaho state penitentiary. He said faulty practices were corrected after Warden R E Thomas took over six weeks ago and noted trustees lived in shacks outside the wall previously. Lukens pledges personal investigation and confidence Southard will be captured with David Minton named as assisting in the flight.
