Salt Lake City April 30 The preliminary hearing of Marriner and John Browning Jr charged with the murder of Frank Ballantyne was postponed again by City Judge Noel Pratt after a letter from Dr E C Rich of Ogden said Mrs Ballantyne remains too ill to appear. May 8 is set for the case.
Elder Alten M Kearl returned from Oklahoma after meritorious service. Frank Kearl Otis Cheney arrived from Logan Utah after a 20 mile trek on snow. Manasseh Kearl met them with two horses by Mattson Bros ranch. Deer sightings numbered 43 during weekend trip. Pearl Nebeker Minnie Peterson and children visited town. A dog spooked a wagon causing a near accident to a lady. Mrs Gracy Lamborn recovered from illness. A blizzard and west wind disrupted Sunday. Vera Shirley from Fish Haven visited and attended services. Irwin Neboker Irwin Orchestra enjoyed a Sabbath evening with Mrs Simey Neboker. Fence vote result 33 in favor.
Judge O. R. Baum of American Falls was appointed by Governor Charles C. Moore to serve on a citizen committee with four Idaho bankers. The panel will investigate the bank situation in Idaho under a resolution from the last legislative session.
