Dimick Dies at 42 in Pocatello Home
James J. Dimick 42 died suddenly at his Pocatello home from a heart attack. Born in Montpelier December 193, he married E Garr in Boise October 5 19 4 and moved to Pocatello in 1954 where he served as District supervisor of Idaho Tax Commission. Survived by widow a son Steven his mother three brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held Sunday in Boise.

Effort Underway to Form City Volunteer Fire Department

The Rainbow Rod and Gun Club offers an eight dollar bounty per mature magpie head taken in Bear Lake county from March 11 to May 20, 1956. Scout troops receive a two cent bonus per head for the troop turning in the most heads. Scouts must notify Wayne Wilcox in Montpelier by April 1 and turn heads to their Scoutmaster who must record counts and destroy the specimens. Lance Townley will provide bait for traps where possible.

Special School Levy Election Set For March 27
The Board of Trustees of Class A School District No. 883 calls a special mill levy election for March 27 to approve a 4.6 mill levy for maintenance and operations for the 1956 57 year bringing total mills to 32 with no increase. Funds pay for essentials only and do not finance new building or expanded facilities. If the levy fails on March 27 a $43 486 deduction hits the operating budget. The district notes anticipated costs from mining related growth and cautions about impact on school standards.

Red Cross Fund Drive Seeks Paris Support In 1956
Paris Chapter of the American Red Cross asks residents to aid the 1956 drive with a $730 local quota. Two thirds of the funds support the national goal of $90 million while the rest supports Paris Chapter programs. Volunteers will canvass homes this week to collect contributions.
