Laketown M men clinch district M men basketball title by edging Osmond 53 50 in the final after 73 36 win over Osmond and a 62 51 semifinal. Memorial services set for 1st Lt Mel Ell Clark

Ritch County Livestock Men on Marketing Tour

Four members of the Rich County Livestock Marketing Assn depart March 15 for a ten day cattle marketing tour through California visiting Stockton Brawley Los Angeles and Imperial Valley. Telephones return to Round Valley and Old Folks Night celebrates

Five Laketown homes now have telephones restoring local lines after years without. Aunt Barbara Earley and others can be called. Laketown Old Folks Night at the community dining room included a banquet, decorations, and a program by the Giwaliens family from Ogden, with 175 attending and honored guests like Sister Barbara Warley and Heber C. Bear Lake Co op Meeting Set For March 23

The Bear Lake Valley Dairymen's Cooperative Association invites the public to attend an 11 a.m. meeting at Fielding High School Auditorium on Saturday March 23. Principal speaker Prof Wendell Stucki of Ricks College has just returned from a National Dairy Council meeting. Hansen Elected to Denver Zone Buick Dealers Council

K V Hansen of Montpelier owner of Hansen Chevrolet and Buick for five years was elected to the Denver Zone Buick Dealers Council. He and Olin Baker of Burley were named to the 10 member council by Buick dealers of southern Idaho. The council is an initial phase of a nationwide group for Buick dealers to discuss retail aspects of the automobile business.

Edith Rich of the University Ward Utah was appointed to the Primary General Board announced by Mrs. LaVern W. Parmley. Rich is Engineering and Physical Science Librarian at the University of Utah and a former librarian at Ricks College and Utah State Agricultural College.

Charles Grandy of Cokeville Dies

Charles Grandy 72 of Cokeville Wyoming died Sunday morning in a Montpelier hospital after a short illness. Born Sept 27 1834 in Richfield Utah to Peter Paul and Margaret Grandy he lived in Paris Idaho before moving to Cokeville. He served as Cokeville Marshall and city hall caretaker and married Grace Long in 1912. Funeral held at Cokeville Ward Chapel with burial in Paris Cemetery.

County Seeks Weed Supervisor At Rich County Meeting

Rich County Commissioners recommended accepting applications for a County Weed Supervisor before March 28 1957. Interested parties may apply via a Commissioner or County Agricultural Agent Wesley T Maughan. Frank Bolton Dies at 89 in Paris Funeral in Paris Cemetery

Frank Bolton 89 died last Thursday at his home in Paris after months of ill health. Born December 11 1867 in Williamsburg New York he moved to Paris with family in 1870 and worked as a farmer and mail carrier before retirement. Survived by four children from first marriage to Zillah Humpherys and a son from second marriage to Alice Angelinace plus 80 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Funeral held December 1950 in Paris Ward Chapel with Bishop Clifford G Price officiating and interment in Paris Cemetery. Pallbearers included Sterling Rich LeGrande Bolton Glenn Roberts Dennis Bolton Robert Stone and William Price. Card of Thanks by Bolton family.
