The Paris Old Folks group invites residents sixty and over to a Thursday gathering. The event starts at 2:00 p.m. with transportation to the Paris pavilion, then a 3:00 p.m. movie at Novelty Theatre, dinner at Paris First Ward chapel, and a program followed by a dance for all married couples. Widows are also invited.

Senator Rich announced that Bill No. 4 passed the senate to fund a museum building in Paris for pioneer relics. Bear Lake county, among the first settlements, holds many relics now scattered. the proposed structure would house these artifacts and depict early pioneer history.

Idaho Farm Loan Rates Cut To Four Percent
Eastern Idaho Production Credit Association slashed short term farm loan rates from 5 to 4 percent effective Feb. 24, aligning with a discount rate drop at the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of Spokane. Secretary-treasurer C. Hart said the move will save members about 800000 annually across 535 associations nationwide, with loans issued under budget plans and repaid when funds are needed. James Dunn and his Old Timers orchestra provided music for a Conda dance Saturday night.

The M Men district basketball tournament opens in Randolph Utah this evening. Paris Second Ward team and Laketown represent Bear Lake stake after Paris won the sub district tournament in St Chanel with Lokowm in second. Each team received 27 dollars for travel expenses from the St Charles meet receipts.

Sol Tremelling Rites Held in Garden City
Funeral services were conducted in the L D S chapel at Garden City for Sol omon Tremelling who died of a heart attack while visiting his daughter Mrs John Mercer in Paris Hotel. Speakers praised his industrious life and family survivors include seven children Lowell, Clinton, Delmont, Mrs Everett Sims, Mrs John Mercer and 13 grandchildren. Burial was in Garden City cemetery with grave dedication by Harry Tremelling.

Hirschi of Geneva, born in Germany, died Monday with services in Montpelier. survived by wife and two sons. Mrs Anthony Nelson of Bloomington died after illness. funeral held Tuesday. Mrs Sam Stewart of Montpelier died last Wednesday. age 69, survived by four sons and a daughter. husband predeceased her. F M Williams Mortuary handled all four arrangements.
