Lifton station hosts Paris visitors aid Red Cross fund

About fifty Parisians visited Lifton Station on Wednesday evening to entertain and be entertained. Superintendent Whitcomb thanked the Paris community for loyalty and announced Lifton’s $35 Red Cross donation, the largest in Bear Lake County. Principal Roy A Welker presided as dignitaries attended the event.

Red Cross War Finance Drive Advances in Bear Lake County

Bear Lake County progresses in Red Cross fundraising. Pres Jos R Shepherd chairs the War Finance Committee with members from Montpelier Paris and other towns. Ward-by-ward allocations total 3500 with Lanark reporting full collection. Sunday School riders urged to donate a dime each.

Mrs S W Kent Dead After Lingering Illness

Mrs S W Kent died at her home in Wardboro Sunday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon. Information was limited at press time due to a telephone line outage.
