State Ruling Ends Dispute on Teaching Experience
Idaho Attorney General W D Gillis ruled that practice teaching in state normal schools can count toward the required eighteen months of teaching experience for a teacher certificate, but only if the experience occurred in Idaho schools. The ruling tightens the rule that all experience must be in Idaho, potentially rendering about 2000 teachers ineligible to teach under the new law.
