Mrs Hebert Robinson learned of the death of her cousin Joe Lamborn in Marysville Idaho. Lamborn, a Laketown native, was the son of Joseph and Emily Sprague Lamborn pioneer residents. Born about 70 years ago, he married Mary Polly Thompson of Laketown. his wife died at the birth of their first son George Edwin, now in California.

Funeral rites held for Garden City Lady Christina Hildt Calder
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Garden City chapel for Christina Hildt Calder wife of George Calder born May 14 1878 in Germany. She died January 8 at her Garden City home after converting to the LDS church and living in Idaho. Survived by husband daughter Rollin Findlay two brothers and two grandchildren. predeceased by two daughters a son and two grandsons. Interment followed in Garden City cemetery.

New Dairy Support Prices Align With 1949 Averages
Bear Lake County’s PMA committee notes new mandatory farm price supports for manufacturing milk and butterfat are near 1949 averages. Chairman Mr. Dodge says the rate equals about 90 percent of the old parity and about 79 percent of the parity price under the new formula. The program, under the Agricultural Act of 1949, sets national averages near 3.07 dollars per hundredweight for 3.95 percent butterfat and about 6 cents per pound for butterfat, intended to support all milk prices.

Funeral services for H. Howard Broomhead 79
Funeral services were held Monday at 1 pm in the Bloomington ward chapel with Bishop LaVell G. Ward conducting. The service featured a choir, speakers, and musical selections. burial followed in Bloomington cemetery. Broomhead, a lifelong Bloomington resident, died Thursday morning at 12:40 am in Salt Lake City. Born April 6 1870 in Salt Lake City he spent most of his life in Bloomington and served as Bear Lake county auditor and recorder and as Bear Lake county state representative. He was married to Mary Jane Patterson in 1896. she died a year ago. He is survived by two daughters Una Hill Ogden and Marvin e Jorgensen of I am four, plus sisters, a brother, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
