Delta Kappa Gamma Meets at Soda Springs
Twenty three members of the Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma held a Saturday luncheon January 11 1961 in the Idaho Cafe Soda Springs. After a brief business meeting they toured the Soda Springs Elementary School and watched two films about Africa. The next meeting will be at the Idaho Cafe on the second Saturday in April.

Annual Valentine Party at Gertsch Home Honors Guests
A Valentine party was hosted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Gertsch on Sunday to honor their son Lyle Gertsch on his birthday anniversary. Fielding High P T A Holds February Meeting
Fielding High School P T A met Thursday February 9 at 7 30 pm in the high school auditorium. President Blanche Piggott conducted the meeting with LaVell Ward offering invocation. Minutes of January were read by Wilma Erickson and Congress Publications read by Carol Howell. A German band directed by Kit McBride performed. Founders Day remarks by Taft P Budge praised past presidents and teachers who received bookmark keepsakes. Burdette Pugmire spoke on Low Pressure Guidance for a High Pressure World. A miniature stage coach was passed for Founders Day contributions. Refreshments followed and the meeting adjourned.

Funeral Rites Held for Edmond Monson in St Charles
Funeral services were held for Edmond Monson of St Charles on Friday February 10 at 1 pm. The ceremony featured Bishop Owen Yates, Sister Ruth Pugmire, and Mildred Arnell with Audrey Michaelson, plus prayer by Brother Robert Hemmert and benediction by Elza Bunderson. Casketbearers were Monte Monson Nils Monson Arley Monson Dewey Johnson Daniel Johnson and Darrell Beck. Lunch followed at the home served by the Relief Society after burial.

Famed U P Farm Car Rolls to Montpelier
Union Pacific’s No. 200 famed classroom on wheels or auditorium car returns to southern Idaho late in the season to aid Idaho farmers and livestock producers.
