Bear Lake County PTA groups gathered at Bear Lake High School for Founder's Day with Reid W. Smith presiding. A. J. Powell spoke on The Best Today for a Better Tomorrow. Entertainment included Emerson Band, a Georgetown piano duet, school choruses, and a Lincoln seventh grade piano solo.

The Pounds Aweigh TOPS club from the west side met Montpelier TOPS to hear Mrs. Melvin Weaver of Soda Springs, the unofficial State Queen, speak of her success. Eight ladies attended. The next day six members traveled to Soda Springs to attend the Tosoba Club where Weaver was crowned Chapter Queen for 1967.
