FHS Chorus Presents The Red Mill Operetta
Fielding High School will stage The Red Mill operetta December 15 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium with a sixty voice chorus directed by Raymond Webb. Cast includes Burgomaster Wendon Nye Willem Orval Michaelson Bertha Martan Lyon Governor Paul Williams and others. Admission is 75 cents for adults 35 cents for high school students and 25 cents for children.

Bloomington graveside services were held Friday for the infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Pete Coziah of Cokeville Wyoming who died in Caribou County hospital at Soda Springs two days after birth The opening prayer was by Jay Nelson a duet LaRue Piggott and Lula Reese Bishop J P Patterson named the baby Shirley Margaret and dedicated the grave Mrs Goziah a daughter of Mr and Mr Cecil Thornock

Montana Truck Driver Killed Near Georgetown
Allan A. Welch 30 of Helena Montana died after tire trouble with a large tandem truck on highway 30 near Georgetown. He unhitched the trailer and tried to pass a car when braking caused the rig to overturn into a barrow pit. Chas Kitchen of Twin Falls was uninjured.

Luetta Pugmire Dies of Heart Attack in Logan
Luetta Pugmire 68 died suddenly of a heart attack at her Logan home Tuesday afternoon. Born August 19 1881 in St Charles she married Moroni S Pugmire in 1902. Surviving children include Arlin Wayne Oral Gwen and others with 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral set for Friday at 1 pm in the St Charles ward chapel.

Prisoner Escapes Bear Lake County Jail After Two Days
Benjamin L. Dozier 24 of Texas escaped from Bear Lake County Jail in Paris after two days. He forced his cell door and pried window bars, slipping out between 6 and 7 p.m. Wednesday. Dozier was held on investigation after being arrested Monday night for a suspicious check attempt linked to a Montana cattle firm. He fled toward Montpelier, was recaptured in Wyoming, and remains a fugitive with forgery warrants in several states. His 1948 Chevrolet remains in Sheriff Arnell’s custody.

Soil Conservation Office Moves to New Headquarters
The U S Soil Conservation Service office for Bear Lake County relocated from the Shepherd building in Montpelier to North 8th St. The new six room, 800 square foot space is furnished by the Bear Lake Soil Conservation District at no charge. An equipment shed on the same property houses government farm equipment used by local farmers under conservation plans assisted by Service technicians.
