Giant 30 Foot Elephant Unearthed In Bern Skeleton Secured
The Salt Lake Tribune reports a colossal elephant skeleton found in Bern is over 30 feet long and once stood high enough for a modern elephant to pass beneath it. Excavations continue with remaining pieces to be secured. Dr. Talmage notes the unearthed bones suggest a vast creature. Government agents attempted to seize the skeleton but Dr. Talmage has secured the rights, making the rare remains a permanent Deseret museum exhibit amid its treasured collection.
