The county fair will run four days starting October 16 with new building work and enhanced premiums. Prof E J Eddings of the University of Idaho will judge all livestock to ensure quality, and the event adds more exhibits, rules, and entry procedures for exhibitors.
The notice lists livestock classes from cows and calves to sheep and poultry with entries and premiums. It includes Holstein Hereford Jersey breeds and judging rules, superintendent names, and exhibit guidelines for stock care, ownership, and penalties.
Two Bloomington youths die within days of each other. Basil Jarvis aged eighteen died of typhoid fever after returning from Nebekers sheep camp and the funeral is at 2:00 pm. Ezra Reese aged twenty one died from cancer of the kidney after an August surgery. his funeral was held at 2:00 pm. Both were highly regarded in the community.
The Lyric proprietors have chosen films with good taste and the public has shown pleasure. A properly conducted show is drawing crowds with the right kind of entertainment.
The city council discussed a water works proposition and a depot street grading plan. A mass meeting will seek public opinion on the course of action, possibly a new bond election, and details on street sprinklers and a water wagon purchase.
Montpelier races purse hopes high with good weather and track. College Maid pacing daily against horses from Oregon Washington Utah and Idaho. Three day program begins Monday August 28 with classes 3 minute 224 230 and 220 and a free for all pace.

The village entered gloom as Clarenicé Mattgon died of typhoid fever after a brief illness of three weeks. Funeral services included speakers C Keetch Ole Transtenta and Pugmire who offered comfort to the bereaved. He was about 23 years old and of good moral character. The community extends sympathy to the family.
Mrs. Lottie Cozier of Brigham City will present a dramatic song recital in the First Ward Ball Tuesday night. The program promises exceptional entertainment with old time songs sung and performed in character. Cozier comes highly recommended and her artistic work should please the audience.
