Pheasant Bag Limits Set by Idaho Fish and Game

Idaho Fish and Game at a summer meeting announced pheasant bag limits by county and season dates for hunting. The order imposes a two cock bag limit in many counties and outlines closed periods and special provisions including upland bird restrictions and seasonal dates across Bonner Benewah Kootenai Oneida Latah Lewis Boundary and other counties.

ROTC Registration Set At Utah State After War Threats

Dr Louis L Madsen of Utah State Agricultural College states ROTC training gains value in peace and potential wartime service as classes begin registration September 28 29 30. Prescott Farm Sold to Gooding Idaho Couple

On August 14 the Prescotts of Sharon sold their farm and home to Merrill Brinkerhoff and family of Gooding Idaho. The Prescotts currently live in Paris with no definite future plans. The Brinkerhoffs include Lorraine Louise Fred Charles and Jay. S L Hymas of Smithfield Utah for Mallory Real Estate led the transaction.

Exhibitors urged to submit entries early for fair

Livestock exhibitors at the 1950 Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot were urged by manager Ruth C. Hartkopf to file entries by September 1. Health tests for Brucellosis or vaccination certificates must accompany entries. The fair will showcase large beef exhibits in two tents and features a Pacific Coast Aberdeen Angus sale with forty head from Oregon Washington and California. L. L. Rafferty leads the sale with A. Thousands gathered in Montpelier to watch the Bear Fake County Fair and Rodeo parade opening. Awards went to Boise Payette Lumber Co. first and Thiel & Olsen Bros. second in business categories, with numerous honors in decorated vehicles, bicycles, and horse divisions. Judges cited the high number of entries and varied winners from Bear Lake Valley to Paris and Preston.

Mead Stevens to Manage Wyoming Dairy Plants

Mead Stevens resigns as manager of the Bear Lake Valley Dairymen's Cooperative Association and plans to leave about Sept. 15. He will run Market Milk and Ice Cream operations from Rawlins, Wyoming, overseeing two of three plants in Rawlins, Laramie, and Casper, Wyoming.

Laketown Couple Observe Golden Wedding Anniversary

Alfred and Lula Kearl celebrated their golden wedding at the Laketown recreation hall on August 18, 1950. A program featuring grandchildren, readings, and music preceded a dance for 850 relatives and friends, with attendees traveling from Grantaville Vernal Orem Ogden Salt Lake Logan Garden City Soda Springs Randolph and other places. Hemmert Buys Bear Lake Hot Springs in St Charles

Lorenzo Hemmert and his wife of St Charles completed the purchase of Bear Lake Hot Springs from Mr and Mrs W H Wilson and have assumed management. Wilsons moved to Salt Lake City last week. Carol Beck began work at Burgoyne Pharmacy in Montpelier Monday. Mrs HB Brammer of Dallas and Mrs BE Sutton of Salt Lake departed after visiting with sister Annie Clayton.
