A large group of threshing machine operators and farmers plans a meeting at Montpelier City Hall at 8 30 p m on August 29 to discuss fair pricing and prevent price variation this season. Farmers are urged to form committees and discuss issues beforehand to ensure representative attendance.

A birthday surprise honored Mrs. Eliza Dalrymple on August 12 as she turned 76. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. Newell Dalrymple and family, Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Papworth and eight Logan Utah children, and Mr. William Keetch of St. Charles. A hearty meal followed with varied dishes and desserts, children offered toasts, and all sang Love at Home.
Last Tuesday evening the Grimmett family living in the valley and visiting in Bear Lake joined a luncheon at Fish Haven. Members included Mr and Mrs Smith Hoge and family Mr and Mrs Orson Grimmett and family Mr Dr and Mrs W S Hoge and family Mrs Stanley Howell and family Mr and Mr J L Grimmett and family with Jennie and Kenneth Grimmett. A lake swim followed by lunch.
The remains of John W Zumbrennen and John A Zumbrennen, who died in the Kemmerer mine explosion, were brought to Montpelier on No 6. Funeral services were at 2 p m in the First Ward chapel with prayers by Bishop Perkins and remarks by G H Hall, Prof W B Morgan, Bishop D C Punz, and President Rich. Musical solos featured Mrs Lottie Grosjean and others. burial followed at City Cemetery with benediction by Bishop Porter.
