Bear Lake County Sets Sept 3 Start For School Year
Bear Lake County schools announce the 1968 69 school year begins September 3 with lunch service starting that day. District fees are five dollars for grades 1 7 and eight dollars for grades 8 12 with a two dollar refund. Bus routes stay the same unless problems arise. The board reaffirmed its dress policy effective September 1 1968 noting standards for student appearance while at school activities.

Randolph man dies in Bear Lake crash fourth traffic death
Darrell Marshall 76 of Randolph Utah died at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital after a Friday afternoon collision on US 89 in front of the Big M Malt Shop. Rex Payne 17 of Bloomington and Welden Sleight 18 of Paris were injured. Jim Schenck 88 of Montclair California listed in poor condition. Funeral services held at the Randolph LDS Chapel.
