Sole of Childs Shoe Saves Her From Snake Bite
Pauline Heflin five year old daughter of Mr and Mrs J M Heffin of 1123 East Thirteenth South street escaped a rattlesnake strike at Parleys canyon when the serpent’s fangs met the sole of her slipper. The child leaped from a tree and fled to her parents as the father killed the four and a half foot snake with a rock.

Sugar Beet Crop Biggest In Years In Idaho
United States entomologist R N Carter denied reports of white fly damage to sugar beets in southern Idaho. He said the Twin Falls tract crop would likely be the greatest yield on record with fields producing beets as large as three pounds and some tons per acre in Twin Falls county.
