Child hurt by horse in Cokeville fractures skull
Last Monday afternoon the Collett child was kicked by a horse and suffered a fractured skull. Doctors Poynter and Madeira treated her and she was sent to a hospital in Ogden with Ezra C. Rich accompanying the child from Paris via Montpelier.

Grandma Shepherd passes at six amidst faithful LDS life
Mrs. Mary A. Shepherd known as Grandma Shepherd died at 6 a.m. Tuesday. Born 1831 in Southampton England, she joined the LDS Church in 1849, married William Shepherd in 1849, had 11 children, 86 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. The family emigrated to Paris in 1877. Funeral services scheduled at the Second Ward meetinghouse at 2 p.m. this afternoon.
