Mrs Lena Egh Laughter, 81, longtime Montpelier resident, died Monday after months of illness. Born February 22, 1875 in Langnau, Switzerland, she married James Butler Laughter in Montpelier in 1894. Surviving children include James, Nicholas, Harold, Wesley, and others. 36 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Funeral held Wednesday at 1 pm in Montpelier 4th Ward Chapel. burial in Montpelier cemetery.

At the April board meeting, Rich Motor of Montpelier won the contract for a 60 passenger bus at $5,958, GMC chassis with a Superior body. Born October 25 1875 in St. Charles she taught at Fielding Academy Salt Lake City and Brigham City and later lived in Star Valley before moving to Logan.
