German Plot to Drag U S into War Revealed by Observer
A wartime observer claims Germany tried to incite Mexico and Japan to attack the United States and trigger a world war. The piece traces alleged U boat, island and port moves, including Haiti, Vera Cruz, and Caribbean bases, and cites Wilson's 1914 Panama tolls address and messages from Washington. It links British mediation and German naval activity to thwarted plans.
