Chom Khaosa Ad from Thailand arrives in Pocatello around April 22 for a two week stay with multiple host families in southeast Idaho. Sponsored by the Extension Service through the University of Idaho, families are sought to host him and provide a daily stipend for personal needs.

Alpine Conservation Camp Set for June 3 8
About 100 boys will attend the University of Idaho Conservation Camp at Alpine near Palisades Reservoir on the Idaho Wyoming border. Hyrum Johnson County Agricultural Agent announced applications close May 15. Camp director Howard Tankersley said sessions cover soils water forestry range management and wildlife with instructors from the university and state federal agencies.

Idaho Grassman program begins in Boise with expanded panel
The 18th Idaho Grassman program opened March 26 in Boise led by chairman R F Ball who expects more counties than last year’s 38 to join. The committee approved expanding adviser membership to seven and added representatives from the State Land Board and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. A memorial resolution honored C Laar of the Idaho Wool Growers Association who died in March. The program is sponsored by major Idaho farm groups and supported by several federal and state agencies. Bear Lake County plans activities with the state committee on April 16.

Larry Wilcox Receives Army Commission
Larry W. Wilcox 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Q. Wilcox of Montpelier, was commissioned a Second Lieutenant after completing Infantry Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning on March 28. He trained in leadership, small unit tactics, weapons, map reading, guerrilla warfare, and counterinsurgency. He entered the Army in May 1967 and was last stationed at Fort Dix. he is a 1962 Montpelier High School graduate and earned a 1966 B.A. from the University of Idaho.

Elton N. Bunn, 72, a former Paris resident, died April 7 at a Hamilton Montana hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage. Born April 5, 1896 in Paris, he was a Union Pacific Railroad employee and later with Monsanto Chemical Co. He married Daisy M. Jarvis in Paris on November 23, 1915. Survived by five sons Blaine Max Harold Todd Jerry. two daughters Ozma Panting Marie Totten. two brothers Reed and Himo and Mrs Royal Rasmussen of Montpelier. Funeral at Montpelier Fifth LDS Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Friday. burial in Parly Cemetery.

E Woodruff Stucki 74 prominent Paris civic church and business leader died Wednesday from a stroke. Born March 19 1894 in Paris, he served LDS missions 1914 1916, married Aston Peters in 1917, earned a Utah BS in 1923, and held multiple church leadership roles including Bear Lake Stake president from 1941 to 1951. He served Paris City Council two terms and was Probate Judge of Bear Lake. Funeral arrangements set in Paris with burial in Paris City Cemetery.
